Hi, I’m Sam, a designer, programmer and entrepreneur

I work at the intersection of data, nutrition, and human health. I founded Pinto, the leading product database for grocery and personalized nutrition information (acquired by SPINS), and my work mapping the global food system has been featured in publications including the New York Times, Wired, and Bloomberg. I teach at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program, where I focus on data visualization and personalization systems.
